SIPS will be established as a non-profit association, the founding members of which are the higher education institutions who participated in the NCCR PlanetS (University of Bern, University of Geneva, University of Zurich and ETH Zurich). Member organisations provide contributions (shared infrastructure and personnel), take part in the governance of SIPS, and ensure the functioning of the infrastructure.
The day-to-day operation of SIPS is controlled by a Director supported by a Board representing the platforms which guides the organisation in a multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary approach.
